2022 Summer Camps
Combining joyful educational experiences with play as we explore our community's best resources!
ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS
This year we are offering TWO sessions that bring the best of Iowa summers to our campers! With most of our time spent adventuring in nature, our campers will explore the woods and caves, build shelters and fires, stomp through prairies and creeks, and climb, hike, and make new friends. Our experienced counselors are prepared to help guide all campers in discovering their favorite parts about nature regardless of age or experience.
We will start off each morning at Mercer Park (as weather permits), enjoy time playing, learning new games, crafts, and art. Then we will load our buses for our nature explorations throughout Johnson County and surrounding areas. We will be visiting local nature favorites like Kent Park, Squire Point, Wild Cat Den, Muddy Creek, and Maquoketa Caves. Water exploration is cautiously approached and heavily supervised, limited to depths of campers' knees.
